about us

milotdesigns started it's existence as a way to showcase Oliver's architectural portfolios created during undergraduate and graduate schooling in order to allow for easier transmission of files to various architectural firms.

The original website transformed and expanded over the years to incorporate hobbies, job opportunities, and as of 2021: ARE study assistance. As a fun aside, we also do tasty desserts!

I've worked for New York State (Office of General Services: Design & Construction) as a contract worker for 6 years and as a State employee for 4 years. I was mostly involved with renovation and rehabilitation design projects for NYS Office of Court Appeals (Centennial Hall) and NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (Minimum, Medium, & Maximum Correctional Facilities and Drug Treatment Centers). For the last few years, I have been working on Lease Compliance issues and State Office renovation & rehabilitation construction projects for New York State (Office of General Services: Real Estate Services); working in this position, I've been able to receive training to become a NYS Code Enforcement Official (CEO).

I've also worked for 8 years as an Executive Board Member on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Claverack.

On the side, I have dabbled in baking desserts with my wife (and most recently my daughter) and wood-working & basic handyman things around the house (electrical, plumbing, basic construction).
